I feel seen! I’m an ADHD writer too, and with short stories I let the pantser mind fly (and had to learn the hard way to reread before submitting... but it doesn’t help that I procrastinate to the last minute to start my stories for submission calls).
For longer stuff I use a bare bones outline of sorts to give mg stuff a somewhat cohesive line to follow, but often will scrap the plan as the story plays out in the writing.
I totally feel you when you say writing is a method to get your scattered mind and imagination packaged up for others! I feel the same 💀
Also a pantser and I have no idea how the outliners do it. It's such a chaotic process but it's rewarding getting to discover your story as you're writing it.
Not a pantser but I spend a lot time while researching throwing adjectives, sentences and even scene scenarios around. Did try being a pantser with my short stories, some for Q &C but clearly not my strength. Loved writing them though, and who knows, some day they might appear somewhere. It was an exciting process.

Awesome! It’s cool to hear about the way you work through it--and I feel you on the procrastination bit 😅
I tend to be very focused and organized and I honestly thing that's what prevents me from being a writer.
I’m a plantser. I’ve used to be a complete Pantser, but have learned to do some basic outlining and structuring, so I’m a little of both.

It really is! Especially when you have no idea what’s coming and then suddenly it just appears.
We’re cast from the same mold. Pegged me 100%.

Gotta have the juice!
